Charity concerts set to hit the right notes
We would like to remind our clients that this year’s charity carol concerts are fast approaching.
The first performance will take place at the St Martin of Tours Church in Basildon on Tuesday, December 14, with the second concert the following day at Crowstone St George’s United Reformed Church in Westcliff-on-Sea, near Southend.
Both events will start at 7.30pm and last for around two hours, with mince pies and mulled wine available to help get our guests into the festive spirit. The concerts will include performances from the Southend Band, along with Southend Girls’ Choir in Southend and Southend Young Singers in Basildon. As ever, full audience participation will be encouraged! |

Rickard Keen has organised the Southend event for a number of years and has teamed up with Palmers Solicitors to hold the Basildon concert since 2007. Last year, the two charity concerts were attended by around 250 people over the course of the two nights and raised over £2,500 for charity.
This year, the Southend concert will be raising funds for the Bosom Pals appeal to improve breast screening provision in the town, while the Basildon event will be supporting Basildon District Volunteer Carers.

Onwards and Upwards in Basildon
|
We are pleased to announce the move of our Laindon office from the ground floor at Glenny House to the first floor. It is just over five years since the office opened and our expansion in Basildon during this period has been substantial. This made the move very attractive as it has given us much-needed additional space. |
The move has provided us with additional general office space, an improved meeting room facility and a separate staff room/kitchen facility. The move has also provided us with additional parking space at Glenny House which should make life easier for visiting clients.
The project was overseen by Basildon Partner Kate Davies, and thanks to her careful planning we largely packed up our belongings on Tuesday, 23 November, moved on Wednesday and were open for business as usual on Thursday.
When managing partner Bob Sadler visited the office on Friday, 26 November, he was impressed at how settled the Basildon team appeared. We are all pleased with the growth in the Basildon office in the past five years and are open for business and looking for more.
