Rickard Keen On Winning Streak
The accountants from Rickard Keen have been showing their sporting prowess this summer after triumphing in two charity events.
A team of three – Peter Leonard, Dean Clover and Martin Crane – descended on Motorsport World’s Rye Park track in Hertfordshire for a two-hour endurance race in aid of Lionheart, the benevolent fund of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which helps members in need of advice or support.
Despite it being the trio’s first race together, they finished on the top step of the podium, helping raise a total of £316 for the charity.
Another group from the firm adopted a slightly more sedate pace when they took part in a charity crazy golf day in aid of the The Mayor’s Charity, which supports needy people in the town.
Bill Gould, Wendy Atton, Mark Brudenell, Laura Carr, Darren Clarke and Dean McCormack took part in the event at Adventure Island on Southend seafront.
Once again, Rickard Keen were taking part for the first time, but managed to finish top of the ten teams taking part, as well as contributing to the £1,500 the event raised.
Rickard Keen partner Bill Gould said: “We always like to lend our support to charity events such as these, which are a great opportunity to raise money for good causes as well as a great teambuilding opportunity.
“While the main priority is supporting the charities concerned, we were very pleased to win both events, particularly since we were taking part in both for the first time.”
