‘Dragon’ role for Rickard Keen partner

Rickard Keen partner Bill Gould is lending his expertise to a new initiative in the mould of popular TV series Dragon’s Den, which will see local entrepreneur Philip Miller invest £100,000 of his own money into a new business venture in the Essex area.

‘Who Wants to be a Miller on Air?’ is a contest run by Southend Radio and Chelmsford Radio and backed by Essex Chambers of Commerce and Southend Council.

Mr Miller, who owns Adventure Island and Sea-Life Adventure on Southend seafront, is looking to hear from budding businessmen and women in the area and – just like Alan Sugar in the hit TV show – he will have two experts on hand to help him make his decision, including Bill.

The entrant judged to have the best idea will win the £100,000 investment. All contenders have to do is visit the competition website at www.miller-on-air.co.uk and explain their idea in no more than 100 words before Sunday, 30 January 2011.

The three panel members will then invite the people behind the nine best proposals to come and pitch their ideas in person, before the overall winner is announced on Friday, 11 March.
